About
Kami Vasquez Quiceno is a Spanish born Colombian, photographer/graphic designer, based in London specialising in sports photography and visual design.
He is passionate about photography because it allows him to capture moments in time, interpret them in his own way, and tell a story within a single frame. He comes from a long lineage of sports lovers, specifically football, and loves being able to watch the game while simultaneously capturing the experience of a match.
However, he feels that football photography often lacks creativity compared with photography in other sports and wants to develop a personal style that is drastically different to anything seen before, using it to showcase rich football culture beyond the stadium and the intense emotions of matchday. Kami hopes to extend this approach to other sports, and to continue bringing his own style and perspective to every arena he photographs.
Kami’s work aims to preserve the emotions of a moment and relay them back to the viewer, whilst also bringing to light details that often go overlooked. He likes to tell the story behind the story. Working primarily with digital software such as Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop, Kami crafts distinctive colour palettes, compositions and edits that emphasise atmosphere and story. This photographic approach is complemented by a strong foundation in graphic design, allowing him to extend images into clear visual systems for brands, clubs and content platforms. He aims to create work that feels authentic, visually engaging and true to the message of each client.
